Cookie Policy
Effective: April 20, 2026 · v1.0
This policy explains how Avagyans Jewelry uses cookies and similar technologies on avagyans.com. It should be read together with our privacy policy, which sets out how we process personal data more broadly.
1. What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, pixel tags, and software development kits. Together we refer to them as 'cookies' in this policy.
2. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies for three purposes: to make the Site function (for example, to keep your cart persistent between pages); to understand how the Site is used so we may improve it; and, where you consent, to measure the effectiveness of our marketing.
3. Categories
Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for the Site to operate and cannot be turned off. They include the shopping-cart session cookie, the cross-site-request-forgery protection token, the consent-preference cookie itself, and the authentication cookie when you are signed in. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing a functioning website and fulfilling your orders, consistent with Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, which exempts strictly-necessary cookies from consent.
Analytics
These cookies tell us how many visitors use the Site, which pages they visit, and what errors they encounter. We use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) via Google Tag Manager to collect this data. All identifiers are aggregated; we do not use analytics cookies to build a profile of individuals. Retention: fourteen months. Legal basis: your consent, granted through our cookie banner. You may withdraw consent at any time.
Marketing
Where enabled, these cookies measure the effectiveness of our marketing and enable retargeting on third-party platforms. Vendors may include Meta Platforms, Inc. (the Facebook Pixel) and Google LLC (Google Ads remarketing). Retention: per the respective vendor's defaults. Legal basis: your consent.
4. Consent and Choices
On your first visit, and whenever our consent terms materially change, we present a cookie banner that allows you to accept or reject non-essential categories. Your preference is stored for twelve months or until you change it. You may revisit your preferences at any time through the cookie-settings link in our footer.
We apply Google Consent Mode v2. Until you grant consent, all analytics and marketing signals are denied by default, and no personalisation identifiers are sent to our vendors.
5. Vendors and Transfers
Our cookie vendors may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, transfers are governed by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable adequacy decision. A current list of vendors, and the categories of data they process, is available on request at privacy@avagyans.com.
6. Browser Controls
Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies from your settings. Refusing strictly-necessary cookies will prevent the Site from functioning correctly; refusing analytics or marketing cookies does not affect your ability to browse or purchase.
7. Do Not Track
Our Site honours the Do Not Track browser signal as equivalent to a rejection of analytics and marketing cookies, to the extent technically feasible with our consent framework.
8. Changes to This Policy
We revise this policy when we add or remove cookie vendors, change retention periods, or update legal references. The current version, its effective date, and its version number are shown at the top of this page.
