Accessibility Statement
Effective: April 20, 2026 · v1.0
Avagyans Jewelry is committed to making its digital experience accessible to everyone, including visitors who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, and other assistive technologies. This statement describes our commitment, the standards we follow, and how to tell us when something is not working for you.
1. Commitment
Our goal is to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at the AA level. We also align our practices with the European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882) for visitors in the European Union, and with the expectations of United States case law under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
2. Measures Taken
We design and engineer avagyans.com with the following measures:
- Colour contrast of at least 4.5 to 1 for body text, and 3 to 1 for large text and meaningful user-interface components.
- Visible focus indicators on every interactive element, using a two-colour ring consistent with WCAG Success Criterion 2.4.13.
- A skip-to-content link that is the first focusable element on every page.
- Keyboard operability for every interaction, including dropdowns, dialogs, and the shopping cart.
- Semantic HTML and ARIA attributes reviewed against the WAI-ARIA Authoring Practices.
- Touch targets of at least forty-four by forty-four CSS pixels, in line with WCAG Success Criterion 2.5.5.
- Respect for the reduced-motion media query, with opacity-only fallbacks where decorative motion is normally used.
- Descriptive alternative text on all product imagery, following a consistent heritage voice.
- Explicit language attributes on every page, so that screen readers pronounce content correctly in English, Armenian, and Russian.
3. Ongoing Testing
We run automated accessibility checks in continuous integration using the axe-core engine, scoped to the primary navigation and main content regions of every page. We also run Lighthouse full-page accessibility audits on our principal templates before every release, targeting a score of ninety-five or above.
In addition, we conduct a keyboard-only walkthrough of the core shopping journey before every release, and a manual screen-reader spot-check with VoiceOver on macOS and NVDA on Windows on a quarterly cadence.
4. Known Limitations
Accessibility is a continuous practice. The following limitations are currently known and are on our remediation backlog:
- Our automated axe-core checks are scoped to the header and main-content regions. Siblings of the main region, including the cart drawer and the mobile menu, are covered by the Lighthouse full-page audit on a pre-release cadence rather than by every pull request.
- Some third-party embedded content, such as payment-provider fields, is delivered in iframes we cannot fully audit. We choose providers whose accessibility conformance statements we have reviewed.
5. Feedback and Contact
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on avagyans.com, tell us. Write to accessibility@avagyans.com with the page address and a brief description of the issue. We respond to every report within ten business days and aim to resolve confirmed issues within thirty days.
You may also write to our postal address: UMAKS LLC, 27 Amiryan Street, Yerevan, Republic of Armenia.
6. Enforcement
Visitors in the European Union who are not satisfied with our response may escalate a complaint to the Market Surveillance Authority designated under the European Accessibility Act in their country of residence. Visitors elsewhere may contact the consumer-protection authority in their jurisdiction.
7. Updates
We review this statement annually, and whenever a material change is made to the Site. The current version, its effective date, and its version number are shown at the top of this page.
