An Avagyans piece carries its own evidence — a signed certificate, a mark struck by the state assay office, and the record of one bench in Yerevan. Here is how to read it.
A signed certificate travels with every piece
Each piece leaves the atelier with a serial-numbered Certificate of Authenticity, signed by the house. It records the piece, its metal, its stones, and its number.
That number is yours to check. Enter it on our verification page and confirm the certificate against our records — proof that the piece is what we say it is, held in your name.
Assayed to the Armenian standard
Before a piece is ours to sell, it is tested and stamped by the Armenian state assay office. The hallmark and its fineness mark are struck into the gold — an independent record of the metal, not a claim we make ourselves.
You will find these marks in a discreet place on the piece: inside a band, on the reverse of a pendant, on the tongue of a clasp.
One atelier, two generations
Avagyans Jewelry was founded in 2001 by Karen Avagyan, when he left the Yerevan Jewelry Plant to open a bench of his own. His path began in 1991 — the year of Armenian independence — training at the Yerevan Jewelry Plant and refining his craft alongside the best masters in Yerevan.
Today his brother, master goldsmith Armen Avagyan, keeps the bench; Karen leads the client side and still works the bench himself; and Karen's son Samvel — the second generation — leads the house. Every piece is made here, by hands we can name.

Verify a certificate
